The Things We Will Keep

(IT-004)

I-Town Records presents the Sim Redmond Band, a five piece world-folk band from Ithaca, New York. With persistent touring and energetic live shows, they have quickly amassed a sizable following since their inception in early 1999. They tool around in a retired bread truck named Big Mo, promoting their independently recorded and produced debut CD "The Things We Will Keep". With Sim's mature songwriting and singing and his brother Asa's solid tribal beats, the backbone of the band has been developed and strengthened from an early age. Joined by bassist Dan Merwin, guitarist Jordan Aceto, and female vocalist Uniit Carruyo the sound of the band has developed into what has been described as "roots rock with an African twist on a groove oriented grassroots blend".
