Sunny Weather

Offical Sunny Weather Website

EP

(IT-031)

Sunny Weather keeps their fans satisfied with this new release. Through the course of these six songs we get everything from simple duets (the beautiful "When Do You Want to Be Found" and the haunting "Do For You" featuring guest Nate Silas Richardson on Hammond Organ), full on rockers ("Criminal" and "Do For You"), a country waltz ("Time For the Blues" written by Donna the Buffalo's Jeb Puryear), and even one classic Sunny Weather zydeco jump up version of "Zydeco Family". Lyrically we see Trevor expressing his more personal, vulnerable side giving Sunny Weather a new depth which is a natural extension of their more anthematic previous works. Pristinely recorded, mixed and mastered to boot! I-Town LOVES Sunny Weather!

Sunny Weather (Self-Titled)

(IT-003)

Sunny Weather rises out of the fertile music scene around Ithaca, heart of the famous finger lakes region of upstate NY.  Drawing on the rich creative tastes of that area and incorporating roots rock, zydeco, and reggae, the music of Sunny Weather cultivates an I-Town flavored blend of old and new to produce a sound all it's own. This band's self titled debut CD was recorded at Electric Wilburland studio and features soaring harmonies, infectious rhythms, and inspiring lyrics which mingle together to make their music a warm and spirited celebration of life. This group is a staple feature at the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival and the Blue Heron Festival where they have always delivered an energetic jamboree which never fails to please the crowds.

Red is the Color

(IT-007)

Here is Sunny Weather's second record.  Released in 2000, it's another solid recording on I-Town Records.  Features such tracks as "Sweet Country", "Love Will Lead Us On", and "The Festival".  This is a continuation of their employment of traditional Zydeco and Roots Rock rhythms to flesh out their original song book.  Singer Trevor MacDonald's squeeze box playing is as vibrant and energetic as ever.  Vocalist Amy Glicklich's voice is featured more prominently here than on their first recording.

The Front Lines

(IT-019)

Done mostly live at Wilburland studio, this is the closest you'll get to the energy of a live Sunny Weather show. Distictive production by the inimitable Matt Saccucci Morano gives The Frontlines an edge and a freshness deserving of repeated listenings and very loud volume!
